Leadership Academy Application

The Leadership Academy is dedicated to fostering the personal development, professional growth, and academic success of its members. Academy mentees can engage with peers through monthly programming and social activities offered by A²MEND, creating opportunities for connection and collaboration. Additionally, students in the Leadership Academy are eligible for scholarships.

Since 2018, Leadership Academy participants have had the unique opportunity to take part in the Study Abroad program, traveling to Africa for an enriching educational and cultural experience. This transformative journey reconnects students with their heritage, offering exposure to Africa’s rich history and diverse landscapes. Participants explore museums, monuments, the Great Pyramids, the Great Sphinx, ancient cultures, vibrant cities, rural villages, and the sobering history of the transatlantic slave trade. The experience has been described as life-changing and deeply impactful.

Complete the A²MEND Leadership Academy Application, Submit unofficial transcripts and a reference letter from a community college administrator, faculty, or staff.

If accepted into the Leadership Academy, you will be contacted by an A²MEND Board Member or the Project Coordinator. There is no cost to participate in this program.
