Call for Proposals
The African American Male Education Network and Development (A2MEND) invite administrators, researchers, staff, faculty and non-profit/community leaders to submit workshop proposals for the 15th Annual African American Male Summit.
Proposals will be judged on their relevance to the strands, content, quality, applicability, and overall connection to issues affecting African American male students and how these strategies relate to the conference theme. All proposals should include clearly-stated student/participant learning outcomes addressing the salient information students/participants should leave with as a result of attending the session. All proposals must be postmarked by January 7, 2022 in order to be accepted for review and consideration.

Knowledge Bowl
The Knowledge Bowl is a Jeopardy-style Black History quiz competition where teams of students face off against one another while answering a series of Black History questions for trophies and prizes. Detailed information on the how to participate in the Knowledge Bowl will be coming soon.
Please be advised that A2MEND has instituted COVID-19 protocols in alignment with the LA County Health Department and CDC requirements. The following shall apply to all attendees:
- All attendees will be required to upload picture ID into the registration system.
- All attendees are required to upload proof of full vaccination 72 hours prior to the event.
- All Attendees who are unable to be vaccinated will be required to upload proof of negative COVID-19 test 72 hours prior to the event (home/self testing is not permitted).
- Vaccination or COVID-19 test results will be cross checked with attendees’ picture ID.

TERMS:
| The A²MEND Summit registration is on a first come, first-served basis. Registration is only confirmed upon receipt of payment in full. Until payment is received, the status will remain as pending and will not be considered in the final count. |
| CANCELLATION POLICY |
| By completing the registration process, you are agreeing to pay the full summit registration fee. In the event that you need to cancel, your cancellation request will need to be submitted in writing to reg@execuconnect.org on or before February 1, 2022 and will be subject to a $50 cancellation fee per attendee. On or after February 2, 2022, all cancellations will incur the complete registration fee. |
| In the event you registered by check and had not yet submitted payment at the time of cancellation, you will be billed and held responsible for the appropriate amount based on the above. Otherwise, please refer to our refund policy. |
| REFUND POLICY |
| No refunds will be offered on cancellations made on or after February 2, 2022. |
| In the event a registrant does not show for the event and the full amount due has not been paid, the registrant/institution will be billed and held responsible for full payment. Substitutions are welcome and may be made in writing up to 12:00 PM on March 1, 2022 without penalty. |
| For cancellations on paid registrations made on or before February 1, 2022, all refunds will be made within 15 business days after the summit has taken place. No refunds will be issued on cancellations made on or after February 2, 2022. |

| Paying by credit card fully completes your registration and avoids delays in payment processing as well as the risk of checks being lost in the mail. As a reminder, your full payment must made before the summit starts. |

| Registration and attendance at, or participation in, A²MEND meetings and other activities constitutes an agreement by the registrant to A²MEND’s use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant or attendee’s image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions and audiotapes of such events and activities. |

| While A²MEND does its best to provide the safest possible environment for the events, the attendee acknowledges freely and knowingly that as a result of their registration and participation, they hereby assume responsibility for their own well-being and safety, releasing A²MEND and ExecU Connect & Meet, LLC of any harm. |
