Leadership Coalition

The Aspiring Radical Leaders Development Program is facilitated by three higher education organizations: A²MEND; Asian Pacific Americans in Higher Education (APAHE); and California Community Colleges Organización de Latinx Empowerment, Guidance, Advocacy for Success (COLEGAS). These organizations came together for the purpose of addressing conditions of inequity within the California community college system.

This coalition has developed a diverse group of leaders who are adept at understanding higher education systems and how to move organizations, community members and stakeholders to disrupt status quo structures that view systemic racism as the central threat to the well-being of Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) faculty, staff and students in the community college system. Therefore, its eradication is the focus of our work.
