A²MEND is not only a leading nonprofit mentoring Black men in community colleges, but it also presents the organization as a fierce advocate on this issue among legislative, research and business leaders. In addition to the A²MEND Mentor Initiative, the organization’s other active initiatives include:
- Policy work and advocacy, particularly with coalitions fighting for results driven legislative policies.
- Research and analysis reports focusing on Black men in the community college system.
- Strategic partnerships with mission-aligned private sector companies, public agencies and nonprofit organizations.
